1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BrainVeda (available at brainveda.pages.dev), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use BrainVeda.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered students, and any other users of the platform.
2. Eligibility
- BrainVeda is designed for students preparing for CBSE Class 10 examinations
- There is no minimum age restriction for registration, but some users may be minors
- If you are under 18, we recommend that a parent or guardian assist you in registering and using the platform
- By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate
3. Student Accounts
- To access educational content, you must register a free student account using your mobile phone number
- Each phone number may be used for only one account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Do not share your account credentials with anyone else
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
4. Account Responsibility
As a registered student, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and not impersonate any person
- Not share your login credentials with anyone
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse features
- Not use another student's account without their permission
- Keep your password secure and change it if you believe it has been compromised
5. Educational Nature of BrainVeda
BrainVeda is an independent supplementary educational platform. It is:
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by CBSE, NCERT, or any school or government body
- Not a substitute for your school's official curriculum, textbooks, or classroom instruction
- Not guaranteed to improve examination performance

6. Permitted Use
You may use BrainVeda for:
- Personal, non-commercial educational study and revision
- Watching video lectures, downloading notes and PDFs for personal use
- Attempting DPPs, mock tests, and PYQs for self-assessment
- Bookmarking content and tracking your personal progress
- Submitting doubts for educational guidance
- Participating in polls and community features
7. Prohibited Use
You must NOT:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any BrainVeda content
- Share downloaded PDFs, notes, or videos with others outside the platform
- Upload, post, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, threatening, or defamatory
- Attempt to hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt BrainVeda or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools or bots to access BrainVeda content
- Impersonate BrainVeda, Rakesh Sir, or any other user
- Submit spam, false information, or abusive content through doubt or contact forms
- Attempt to access another student's account
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, legal action.
8. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property
The following content on BrainVeda is created by and owned by BrainVeda / Rakesh Sir:
- Video lectures — original teaching videos recorded by Rakesh Sir; hosted on YouTube
- PDF Notes and Class Slides — prepared by Rakesh Sir
- DPPs (Daily Practice Problems) — questions prepared by Rakesh Sir
- Mock Tests — test papers prepared by Rakesh Sir
- Website design, code, and branding — BrainVeda's intellectual property
Regarding PYQs (Previous Year Questions): Previous Year Questions are based on past examination papers published by CBSE. BrainVeda's compilations, formatting, and solutions are our intellectual property; the underlying questions are CBSE's. CBSE and NCERT are registered trademarks of their respective organisations. See our Copyright Policy.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works from any BrainVeda content without prior written permission.
9. YouTube and External Video Content
Video lectures are hosted on YouTube (@TheBrainVeda). BrainVeda embeds these videos on the platform for your convenience. YouTube's terms of service and community guidelines also apply to your use of the video player. BrainVeda is not responsible for YouTube's platform availability.
10. PDF Notes, Slides, DPPs, PYQs
- You may download PDFs for your personal educational use
- You may not redistribute, sell, or share downloaded PDFs with others
- Some materials may be designated as premium and may require a paid subscription when paid features are activated in the future
11. User-Submitted Doubts and Content
When you submit a doubt through the "Ask a Doubt" feature:
- You grant BrainVeda the right to use your submitted question for educational purposes (e.g. to prepare a "Doubt of the Day" response)
- Your submitted doubt text is visible to the platform administrator (Rakesh Sir) and is not publicly displayed to other students
- You must not submit content that is offensive, abusive, irrelevant, or violates any third party's rights
- BrainVeda may moderate or remove submitted content that violates these terms
12. Third-Party Links and Services
BrainVeda links to external services including:
- YouTube — for video content
- Telegram — for community updates and doubt support
- WhatsApp — for doubt support and password assistance
- Google Forms — for some DPP exercises
- Instagram — for social media presence
BrainVeda is not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of these external platforms. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.
13. Website Availability
BrainVeda operates on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee:
- That the service will be available 24/7 without interruption
- That all content will be error-free at all times
- That the service will be available during critical examination periods (though we make reasonable efforts)
We may carry out maintenance, updates, or experience unforeseen technical issues. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime through in-app announcements.
14. Educational Disclaimer — No Guaranteed Results
BrainVeda provides educational support content. We do not guarantee any specific examination result, marks, grades, or academic outcomes. Student results depend on many factors including individual effort, school instruction, personal circumstances, and examination conditions. See our full Educational Disclaimer.
15. Account Suspension and Termination
BrainVeda reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate any of these Terms of Use
- Engage in abusive, harmful, or fraudulent behaviour
- Provide false information at registration
- Attempt to disrupt or attack the platform
Account termination may occur without prior notice in serious cases. You may also request deletion of your own account at any time — see our Privacy Policy, Section 15.
16. Changes to Services
BrainVeda may add, modify, or remove features and content at any time, including:
- Adding new subjects, classes, or content types
- Introducing paid premium features (with advance notice)
- Modifying or discontinuing any existing feature
We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of significant changes via in-app announcements.
17. Changes to These Terms
BrainVeda reserves the right to update these Terms of Use. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of BrainVeda after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered students of material changes via in-app announcements.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable Indian law:
- BrainVeda and Rakesh Sir shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform
- BrainVeda is not liable for any academic outcome, examination result, or loss arising from reliance on any educational content on the platform
- BrainVeda is not responsible for the actions or content of external platforms (YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Our total liability for any direct claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to BrainVeda in the preceding 12 months (zero, as BrainVeda is currently free)
Nothing in this clause limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by negligence, to the extent such limitation is prohibited by Indian law.
19. Paid Services (Not Currently Active)
BrainVeda is currently a FREE platform. No subscription fees or payment is required. If paid features are introduced in the future, updated terms governing payments, cancellations, and refunds will be published at /refund-policy and you will be notified before activation.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
Note: Specific court jurisdiction (city/state) should be confirmed by the owner with legal advice before commercial launch, as this is relevant for consumer disputes.
