Welcome to BrainVeda — a free CBSE Class 10 educational platform created and managed by Rakesh Sir. BrainVeda provides video lectures, PDF notes, daily practice problems, mock tests, and doubt support for Class 10 students.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at brainveda.pages.dev and associated services.

By using BrainVeda, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you register on BrainVeda, we collect the following information:

  • Full Name — to personalise your learning experience
  • Phone Number — used as your unique login identifier
  • Class — currently fixed as Class 10
  • Password — stored as a one-way SHA-256 hash; we never store your plain-text password

We also automatically record:

  • Videos you watch and notes you download (for progress tracking)
  • Mock test attempts and scores
  • Your login streak and badge progress
  • Messages you send through the Contact form

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide access to educational content and personalise your dashboard
  • To track your learning progress and award badges
  • To display leaderboard rankings among students
  • To send you important educational updates and announcements
  • To respond to your doubts and contact form messages
  • To improve BrainVeda based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

  • All passwords are hashed using SHA-256 and are never stored in plain text
  • Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare D1 (edge SQLite database)
  • Session cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax to prevent cross-site attacks
  • We use HTTPS for all communications

While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. Please keep your login credentials private and do not share your account with others.

5. Telegram & WhatsApp

BrainVeda operates a Telegram channel (t.me/thebrainveda) and uses WhatsApp for doubt support.

When you join our Telegram channel or message us on WhatsApp, those platforms (Telegram and Meta) operate under their own privacy policies. BrainVeda does not control how those platforms handle your data.

We will never ask for your passwords or financial information on Telegram or WhatsApp.

6. Cookies

BrainVeda uses a single session cookie (bv_student) to keep you logged in. This cookie is:

  • HttpOnly — cannot be accessed by JavaScript
  • SameSite=Lax — protected against cross-site request forgery
  • Valid for 7 days — you will be logged out automatically after 7 days of inactivity

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

7. Children's Privacy

BrainVeda is designed for CBSE Class 10 students (typically aged 14–16). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us immediately at brainveda.edu@gmail.com and we will delete that account.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view your profile and data from your student dashboard
  • Correction: Contact us to correct any inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Email us to request deletion of your account and all associated data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of BrainVeda after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
